Multicultural Psychology

Dr. Lucchesi has always maintained a strong interest in understanding the crossroads between mental health, culture, race, and ethnicity. All of us, at any point in our lives, go through periods of suffering and disequilibrium and may need professional support to explore our inner world, seek alternatives and solutions, regain track of our lives, and achieve a more flexible and balanced state of mind. Life transitions affect everybody from the adolescent adjusting to high school or undecided on a college major career, to the recently married, divorced or widowed adult, or to the family who is experiencing a new culture.

Dr. Lucchesi has been trained extensively in diverse therapeutic modalities to help improve their clients' sense of well being and alleviate the anxiety and depressive states that may accompany these transitions in life.

Dr. Lucchesi has the specialized knowledge and training to treat different types of depression from a depressive state related to a recent loss (i.e. separation, divorce, loss of a job), dealing with a chronic stressor (i.e taking care of a family member with a chronic illness) to more chronic depression diagnoses.
